Search Engine these days are smarter than you might think. To be specific they are not just another piece of software that determines the value of your website, rather they are Artificially Intelligent that knows why it will rank a page of your website on top of its search result page for a particular query aka search term aka keywords. There was a time when you could easily rank your website on top of Google search results simply by increasing the number of backlinks. But that is not the case anymore.

  2. List the competitors in SERP (10 results on 1st page)
  3. Pick Top 3 for Growth Hacking
  4. Find their On-Page SEO strategy
  5. Write CONTENT on similar topic
  6. Use Long Tail Keywords on your Copy
  7. Use Target Keywords on Meta Title
  8. Use Target Keywords on Meta Description
  9. Use Target Keywords on Paragraphs and Headings
  10. Create Internal links
  11. Create External links
  12. Create Backlinks (as many as you can)

  • Remember the content you will create is under your control
  • You have to write something that is more informative, easy to consume and optimized with target keywords
  • Use rel=“canonical” if you copy content from other website for information sharing purpose
  • The rel=“canonical” tells Google that you copied this piece of content from another website and is not the original one.
  • Do not copy content from another website that is copyright protected, gain permission if you really need to.
  • You can copy CC content. CC means Creative Common.
  • Always give credit for materials (i.e.: images, videos, infographics) that you will use on your webpage, but is created by someone else.
  • Remember, you are always allowed to create a remixed version of something, but copying is forbidden.

  • Copy = Decreases your credibility
